   Hi , I have a bad Electric Motor on the Actuator ( lower and rise boom ). Can it be replaced and where can we get them . The local Toro dealer wants to sell me the complete unit . Any direction would be great . Thanks

   I'm not sure about replacing the motor only, but I replaced the entire actuator this spring. I found one local for around $400, which is about half of the Toro part. The part number is K2XG20-12V-04. If you type this part number in google, you can also order it from varius suppliers online. I replaced mine with this part this spring, and so far no problems.    Check the length of the stroke.
   
   I know this one works, you just have to cut off and reweld the bracket that holds the motor side on about 2" back. We've changed a few of these with this one already.

   Thanks guys will be checking out both options . I was in touch with Makers KYB America ,there are no replacement motors avail, Local Toro Dealer wants $1500.00 to replace complete unit . Getting a different unit at a 1/3 price sounds better . Thanks again .

   Yes if ordered from the manufacture you will pay an arm and leg for the same thing you can get from a Surplus center online. I have replaced several from the online source after refusing to pay what the dealer wanted.
