We have a 2005 Toro 3500-D that we've been working on. When the key is turned to start, the glow plug solenoid sounds like it is arcing/frying, but the glow plugs do not run. The starter will not try to engage the fly wheel, even though it has power to it. Though it will occasionally try to engage and subsequently blow the fuse. We've replaced the ignition switch, the computer, and checked all fuses and solenoids and everything checks out. Any ideas?

Assuming your battery has been load checked. Sounds like a bad connection, probably on the ground side. I think a "voltage drop test" would be appropriate to pinpoint the bad connection. I'd zoom in on the starter circuit and do the "v drop test".

Feel the sheathing on the cables if there is s bump then it may be corroded . Would show voltage but load wouldn't be enough to turn starter over , grounds on block of engine too . Clean and snug up

Had the same problem with one of mine, would replace the fuse and it would work for a day or two then blow it again, ended up finding out that it was a bad battery on the ground side, replaced terminal end on the wire and cleaned the post with a wire brush, not a single problem since, I had a lot of the same symptoms but that fixed it for me

Sounds like a ground or connection/corrosion issue. I'd break out the test light rather than the multimeter as meters can show volts but not real power.
