We have a Ransome G-Plex II with 3567 hours on it. There seems to be a leak from the pump, we are checking the seals externally for now. We are wondering if maybe the shaft that hooks to the engine was damaged when the coupler fell apart and the old engine gave up.

The part on the mower is 894103 and the service kit is 547731. Has anybody had success just using the service kit for repair? Can anyone tell us what is in that service kit? Has anyone seen a breakdown of the pump? The owners manual/parts manual doesn't show the pump exploded (I think that is the correct term?) We are just wondering what we are in for.

    Thanks! Mel

It's been 15 years since I sold those machines. I don't recall the manufacturer of that hydrostat, but they were very common. It can be rebuilt like new. I know Action Hydraulics in Miami can do it, but I am sure there are many others. That machine was designed for longevity and ease of R&M.
