Any of you guys have a good, cheaper push mower that you are using that can take some abuse on bunker banks? We've been using fly mowers but they are starting to get on my last nerve. Thought if I could find a cheaper push mower that can make it through a season or two I'd be better off than these flymo's costing 1200/ea and breaking easily, along with not giving me the cut I really would like.

    Thanks,
    Justin

Sears sometimes has cheaper simple machine w/ high tires in the rear push really easy. Could also try local used mower guy. Good luck!

I like the Honda mowers. Lightweight and the best engine on the market.

Just make sure it does not come with a Tecumseh as parts are almost impossible to find anymore.

Where are one of those old Jac with the 321 or 501 2-cycle engines when you want one?

    Justin,

We've been using the commercial 21" rotary mowers from Toro, not cheap but they have held up really well.

I'm not sure on the price but they are going on 2+ years and get used at the clubhouse twice a week and on 27 holes worth of bunker faces once a week.

IMHO you get what you pay for, so you pay now or you pay later!
