I have a Jacobsen LF3400 fairway mower and the control box is failing. Does anyone have a machine they are looking to part out? I do not want to buy a new part, considering this machine has over 3600 hours on it and will need a lot of other work this winter. Basically, we may be dumping this machine and getting a new one in the spring, but I kind of need it to finish out the year. Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Andy

3 years ago I had Joke 3400 and one morning the back right reel motor went bad and decided to spin in reverse. It was one of the weirdest things I have saw today, replaced the motor and it was fine.

My distributor wants more than $1,500 for the part, and the machine is going to need all new bushings, reels, bearings etc. I don't want to buy anything new for this thing, I'm 95% sure this will not be our mower next season.

Andy ,
Where are you located. I have an entire mower I want to sell. For cheap. I am in Florida

I am located in Southeastern Michigan, about 50 miles North of Detroit. I would definitely be interested in a complete unit if the price is right. I have two of these units and one of them I would like to keep as a verticutter/spare mower if we do buy some new equipment.

Andy ,
I got your email. I am right at 3 hours north of Ft. Myers. Easy to get to from 75. Let me know I can send pictures.

Brooksville? Do they have running water yet? Thank goodness all the old people moved to Spring Hill got that county on the map.
Hey where is Southern Hills Plantation? When I grew up there in the 70's there was Spring Hill CC, Brooksville CC, and Ridge Manor.

Brooksville is alive and well. Actually realy good running water. I updated my signature by the way. Not sure if it was the old people or the sink holes that got Spring hill on the map.

I can't help with the part for the 3400, but.....
Sam has a nice piece of property out there. Some of the highest points in Hernando County. Not sure if you knew this or not Sam, but the Oak trees that line your front entrance came from the Rolling Oaks course at World Woods while I was there. It was amazing seeing them get pulled out and moved.
