Hi All,
We own a JD250 skid steer and I am considering investing in some after market, rubber over the tire tracks. I am curious if anybody has any thoughts good, bad, or indifferent.
They will primarily be used in the winter for work in the snow and snow removal.
I like the idea of using tracks and tires so I am not convinced I want to sell our unit and buy a dedicated track unit.
I did have someone tell me the over the tire tracks may cause premature wear on the drive motors?
My concerns are:
Will the extra "height" from the tracks allow the bucket and other attachments to lie flat?
How easy are they to install and do they stay on or will we throw tracks going through the woods?
Any and all feedback is much appreciated.....
