Does anyone have experience with the new gas engine 5800? How does it compare to the older diesel model?

Also, they now are using their new controller built into the sprayer. No longer using the Pro Control. Any experience? I'm in the market for a sprayer but hating being first in line with something new like this.

Justin. I have got the Toro 5700 and the John Deere 300 w/pro gator. Toro makes a nice sprayer. But down the road when it gets old. look out! lots of complicated little parts and and $dollors. The John Deere is your basic syntrifical pump. and gets the job done time after time and is faster on transport. Less headaches and cheaper price tag.

We got the new 5800 gas engine last year and no problems, like the new pump and rinse system and mixing system. Nice piece of equipment and we spray a lot, we also have an older 5700 and a gator with a chempro sprayer on it. Toro is nicest when working right , but can be expensive if parts go, it's why we are leasing the sprayer this time, full warranty on it for 4 years, then get new one.

We have a new 5800G from last year and just ordered another new one for this year. We have 2 5700D sprayers currently and there is 0 difference in power or performance between the gas and diesel that I can tell from an operators stand point. Only difference is the new ones come with slicks on the front tires so turning in wet can be a bit of a challenge if not paying attention.

I'm curious to see the actual differences in the Excelarate controller however.
