We recently upgraded Greens mowers from the Toro Triplex 3150 to the new Toro Tri-Flex 3300. We were fully aware of the compatibility issue between the older DPAs on the 3150 and the new Tool-Free Quick-Change system on the 3300 before purchasing the new equipment. Going into it we planned on using the 3150s, which were moved to our tees mowers, to mow light topdressing on the greens with our older DPAs. After purchasing the new mowers, our equipment manager came up with a plan to modify the older DPAs so they could attach to the new 3300. Our equipment manager was successful in converting the DPA units from the 3150 to be used on the Tri-Flex 3300. Now our tees mowers can stay on the tees and we have six more Greens units that can be used with the 3300. All the work was done in house with parts ordered from Toro and miscellaneous parts from the local hardware store. The cost per unit was around $200.00 plus two hours of shop time. If anyone is interested in the details on how this was done, they can contact us at ferg@lochlandcc.com.

I want to revive this thread as there are now more 3300 out in the field. Possibly you could provide us all some more details of parts used and some pictures.

The question of using the older DPAs on a new triflex has come up here. Good to know it has been done! I will be in touch if we decide to do it. Thanks Sean.
