I have a 2500E greensmower that is refusing to start. On the ECM it is displaying that the park brake is not locked when in reality it obviously is so I am dealing with the brake switch right now. I have put a new switch on with no luck and moved the bracket the switch mounts on forward and back as the service manual states with no luck still. There is voltage to the switch as I have measured that and I have tried adjusting the parking brake linkage with still no luck. I am wondering if anyone else has had experience with this and has any ideas for me? Thank you.

    Josh,

When you are moving the backing plate for the brake switch watch the ECM, Does the light come on showing the brake is applied?

No, it does not. No response from the light at all.

From the schematic you should have power on the white wire number 809 up at the ECM with the brake on, check that you do. If you do I would try swapping the ECM out with a known good one and see if your ECM is not the fault.

Okay, I'll try it first thing next week. Thank you!
