We have had terrible luck with our 1600's, we purchased 3 units, one for each of our golf courses. Each one was purchased in October of 2010, ours has 3900 hours on it. Most of our problems have been hydraulic pumps, hydrostat with leaks, axle seals rusted through, and other various issues. Each one of our units have been back to the dealers to fix the issues (at least 3 times for each machine). Engines and bodies have to be removed to get to most of the problems. The dealer that sold them to us (non golf, we are a municipality so they could sell us rotary mowers), I believe refused to fix it the last time or with the issues we had, we tried a different dealer. When they do go back to the dealer, they have them at least 2 to 3 weeks at a time if not longer.
We are currently in the process of switching them out, one per year, even though we have older equipment that needs to be replaced as well.
Also the things are fuel hogs. We will go through on average, 2.2 or 2.3 gallons per hour. We have a Jac 5111 that is 16 years old with 6700 hours which only burns 1.8 gallons per hour.
The belts have been solid and our hoses have just had the normal wear as our other equipment.
