Does anyone have any experience removing the bearings in a Jacobsen LF3800 fairway reel? Our equipment manager is having a hard time removing the bearing from the reel assembly. He has tried using a pulley but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Ben

Curious if anyone has ever experienced a Jacobsen LF3800 constantly dying. Tried to mow fairways today but the unit dies every 50 feet. Thanks.

Loosen cap on tank and see if it goes away . ( plugged cap vent) or possibly fuel shut off solinoid acting up or fuel pump .

Clogged fuel filter, clogged fuel line, debris in the tank clogging pick up line, algae in the fuel.

Does it die slow and sputter like it runs out of fuel or more like the switch is turned off? Does it run fine until you start mowing? You could remove the cover over the computer and see what lites are on or not on when the machine is running and when it quits.

Those units have a screen inside the tank connected to the petcock valve. Most times you will find them completely clogged.
