First, let me apologize for the lengthy post but I am looking for feedback and help in dealing with EZGO on this issue.
I would like to know if anyone with an EZGO RXV(ours are 2009 and we own them) fleet has had any of the below mentioned issues that we have had:
The rear bumpers were too brittle, shattered after a light bump, and had to be replaced. Our golf season runs approximately 44 weeks a year. Almost three years in and I can think of maybe 3 weeks without at least 3 or 4 cart breakdowns per week. These carts will run a few holes and either not run after stopping, or lose power while running, then locking the rear wheels. Our maintenance department had to fabricate a fixture to lift the rear of the cart with our tractor, to tow the cart in because the rear wheels were frozen. Some of our customers asked how many holes they will play before they have to call for another cart. Most all carts have been repaired numerous times. Carts 5, 21, 27, and 71 have honestly been broken down more often than not for the entire time that we have owned them!!!
We were told the problems might lay in the charger receptacles. It may be the program-port plug, or the brake sensor, throttle sensor, solenoid. The whole fleet has been reprogrammed, we replaced the D/C cord on all chargers, we replaced the D/C cord receptacle, and we currently are replacing all 72 accelerator assemblies. We continue to have problems after all of this.
We have had this fleet of carts for 2 1/2 years now(still under warranty) and we have had nothing but one problem after another. Even though our carts have been under warranty, the response to our issues has been below satisfactory. The EZGO service reps have shown up, but when they do come they can't always fix the problems because of a lack of parts. Then we never know when they will be back. There is never a time when we do not have anywhere from 2-5 carts broke down. We have had so many problems that I can't believe there has not been a post here yet.
I have even called EZGO directly and cannot get anyone to call me back.
Does anyone else have a fleet of RXV carts with these constant issues? If so I would like to hear from you about what EZGO has done to improve the situation.
