What is the greatest amount of hours accumulated on any piece of frontline or routinely used equipment you currently have?

    Thanks for your response

    Mike,

The one piece with the most that we use everyday is our tee mower with 4984 (probably close or over 5000, we had a key switch go bad for about 3 weeks, thought the hour meter was broke, replaced it, then found out it was the key switch).

I will admit this mower will be semi-retired next season.

Our 5111 rough mower had 5539 hours when it went into a back up role.

All our other regular machines are down below 3000 except for a Cushman that we don't use everyday which is at 3806. But I'm guessing our fairway mower will be up around 5000 hours before it gets retired or moved to a back-up role.

Mike I will try to post a scan of our sheet that I record our hours on. I will say the we don't have a lot of spare equipment, the Ransome greens mower is a partial front-line unit since we bought triplex rollers for it, we also use the sand reels on it after topdressing and use it for verti-cutting. Our Toro Z-mower is a back up unit, but we have used it to mulch leaves over the Exmark. The Exmark did come from another park with at least 2000 hours on it, the hour meter went out and a new one was installed and had 186 hours when we got it. At that time we installed a new engine and did some repairs on it.

We have a 1998 Cushman truck with 5883 hrs. It is still all we have to top-dress greens and pick leaves in the fall. For the past 3-4 years I am sure it is going to go down right in the middle of aerating/topdressing. Maybe this year? We also have an old Toro 300 (1983) with about 3850 hrs.that we use to verticut greens.

Our spray rig is 5 and a half years old with 450 hours. After that our greens mower GM3250 diesel has 5100 hours on it, GM 3200 has 8500 hours, Sand Pro 5000 8500 with a new engine installed over a year ago and the Reel Master 5500D at 4450 hours. Groundsmaster 223D with 3560 hours. They are all working and will not replace unless we need to do major work on them.

Most of our equipment has over 1000 hrs on it the worst would be the tractor we use to pull our progressive rough mower it has over 6000 on it had it split 2 years ago to put and new clutch assembly in it. But out tee mowers have around 4000 hrs greens mowers are around 2500 hrs and the trap rake is on its third engine and the hour meter quit working years ago.

My rough mowers are within about 20 hours of one another 5,300 for an 2005, 2006 Toro 4700's.

Everything else is under 3,000. New package in 2006.

I have a few early 80's John Deere tractors with well over 10,000 (maybe even 20,000) hours on them. We don't know for sure because the hour meter only has four digits plus a decimal. They get used everyday to pull 5-gang rough mowers. They just don't build them like they used to.
