We have two Hahn Spray Bug sprayers that are breaking the roll pins that connect the axle shaft to the output sleeve of the transmission. Has anyone else been having this problem and if so, what have you done to correct the problem?
    Thanks

We have replaced several over the years. I would not call it excessive though. The spray bugs are designed to be driven only. There is no neutral. Pushing or pulling could cause serious damage to the plastic gear in the transmission. The roll pin is the "weak link" in the system and will shear, hopefully but not always, before any damage occurs. You might also check the transmission output shafts that they are perfectly perpendicular to the transmission. The frames on ours are slotted where the support bearing attaches. If not aligned properly, the shaft will wobble and put abnormal stress on the rollpin. Hope this helps. CR
