Going to be in the market soon for a new golf lift. I want to purchase a lift that can accommodate all types of mowers. Everything from greens mowers to rough mowers. We have Jacobsen 550 fairway units, Toro 4700 rough mowers, Toro greensmasters 3000 greens mowers. Any ideas and suggestions would be great. I don't want an automotive lift. I want something that is specific to turf equipment. Thanks

We have a Golf Lift....can't live without it.

    Lifts:
    JD7500 freeway mower
    Toro 4000D rotary
    All greens mowers
    All vehicles
    F-250
    Smithco sprayer
    Toro Procore 648

Buy it again. Think we paid 5k. Installed it ourself. One day plus electrical. My shop floor was new, so concrete was deep enough.

We purchases a Rotary turf lift from CarQuest. It was half the price as the rest and does the same things. We also bought the vehicle arms, and with a few pulled pins can work on the shop truck too. I want to say it was around $4,000 about two years ago.

I am sure we did not pay more than $4000 for our Golf Lift installed and it lifted everything we had including trucks. A good lift is a crucial part of a golf maintenance operation. It is one of those things where you do not realize how badly you needed it until you've had one for a while.

Golf Lift. Purchased it through our JD Dealer. Installed it ourselves. A member who is a electrician did electrical for us. Don't know what we did without it before.

Golf Lift!! Price will range between 6 to 6500 and in most cases includes installation. We had one installed early last year for 6300.00. I have had a 1 ton dump truck on the Golf Lift with no problems, and the changeover is just a minute or so to go from turf to regular vehicles. The vehicle arms and extensions are included with the lift. Best part is there is no overhead beam to affect the height of your equipment so it makes it easy when working on the undercarriage of a vehicle or piece of equipment. We also have a rotary lift in the shop and a second one in the cart building, and they work great too.

    Regards,

One feature of the Trion is a clear floor under the lift. This allows work tables to be rolled into place and reel units removed and replaced. The cross beam on top doesn't interfere with lifting turf equipment. Roll bars and tops are ahead of the beam. Ceiling height is more of a limiting factor.

We are looking to purchase a golf lift for are turf equipment sometime this winter. I am curious what brand of lift everyone is using. If I could get the pros and cons of each lift that would be great. The two that I see a lot of are the Golf Lift and Trion. Any input would be helpful. Thank you.

I've had a couple of Trion lifts and they are good lifts by all means. I have, and have had Golf lifts and loved every one of them. I can lift a one ton Dump truck or any vehicle, plus any turf equipment made. I've also used the Manitowoc, a good lift too, but my choice is the Golf lift. Some do not care for the plate on the floor, but it has never caused me any issues in three different facilities. I like the fact there is no beam over or across the top so there are no restrictions as to where you locate a piece of equipment on the lift or how high up you can go in regard to the canopy or cab. Also reasonably priced. In any case, whatever lift you get will be the greatest asset in your shop!!

The Trions that I used did not have a plate across the floor which can be nice at times (like when taxiing the tongue of a sweeper/vac into it backwards with a floor jack). Of course that meant that there was a bar across the top of the lift, but I imagine it can be specified to the height you want. The safety catches can be released from one side instead of having to walk to both sides to release like my Golf Lift. I'd look at both and compare price and any new features that may have been added recently.

Bought one of these a couple of years ago. So far it's been great. Paid around $3,800 installed and got it through CarQuest.

I've used Golflifts at 3 different facilities and like them a lot, we've just placed an order for a second GolfLift for the current shop. At one shop we had a Manitowoc lift, it worked for the shop there but would have limitations at many other golf facilities.
