We have an old 3250-D with about 4100 hours on it. We are having trouble with the left reel being weak. All reels turn until it is put under a load, then the left side reel stops working completely. We have replaced the motor on that side but we keep having the same issue. I believe this is a bit over my mechanics head. Any help would be appreciated.

Might be a bad port on your hydraulic pump.

It could be the reel motor in the curcuit prior to the one that's weak. Perform a case drain test on all three motors.

A simple field test is after running them for a short period place your hand on the reel motors, the one that has the most internal passage will be hottest. Also as Roland mentioned a case drain test will show the culprit. Use a block of wood and lock the cutting head up, with the case line unhook measure the amount you get in 30 second, times by 2 and see what the manual says is an acceptable amount. Then move on to the next one. If they all check out then you'll need to move to some pressure testing.
