I have a Foley Accumaster and we are having an issue with it traversing back and forth when we relief grind. Sometimes it gets stuck half way through the cycle and other times it won't even start. Seems to be coming unlocked at random. Anyone had a similar issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Should be able to adjust the lock lever down tighter, sounds like its slipping on the belt. Had that happen on my 652 before. Don't remember the procedure as I haven't run Foley in a while, but it was pretty simple. Should be able to look at the lock system and see how it goes, otherwise manual or look on line. Sorry I can't be of more help but I think your in the right area from the sounds of it.

Check your manual or get one of the Foley site . Most of those issues I've had in the past involved the dove tail joint needing adjustment or repair . It's the piece that sides in an out has 4 Allan head bolts in a row and lockdown nuts on them. Also grinding dust keeping the finger adjusted properly . Also the guide fingers worn out or maybe reel is worn down to far hitting spiders .
