We have a fleet of Gas 08 RXV golf carts. Last year the carts would die on the course and we would go out to bring them back in and find them only to run perfectly. We did end up replacing quite a few solenoids.Long story short Ez Go has a term for this called Hesitant start because the starter motor is under sized to turn the motor and recommends replacing the pulley on the starter with a smaller one. I went a different route and added a ground cable from the negative battery terminal to the starter neg post. Well after being open for over a week we have not had a single issue with the carts so an fyi for other courses with similar problems try this before anything else.

Thanks for the update, I wonder why if E-Z GO knows? That the starter motor is undersized, and wants you to replace the pulley, why don't they do that, (I know carts are out of warranty), why didn't they when figuring out the issue at least send out service memos on it? (And maybe they have?)

I have always found to be proactive and do some digging around to solve problems. Golf Cart Co's. would have us replace the fleet rather than trying to fix them.

I have a fleet of 09 RXV's at one course and a fleet of 07-08 TXT's at the other course. The RXV is junk compared to the TXT in my opinion. They may look better but we've had multiple issues with them. The latest is with the gas peddle sticking. Of course our EZ-GO salesman knows how I feel about them and keeps trying to get us to trade.
