We are potentially looking at replacing some of our older 2500Bs and 3225Cs and have been looking at some 2500E and 7500Es. I have had great luck with the machines we have, but they are getting older and worn out and this could be an opportunity to get mowers that could reduce potential hydraulic leaks. Just looking for opinions on the electric reel drive on the John Deeres.
    Thanks
    Paul

We currently have 5-6 2500e's and most nearing 1000 hours and have never once (knock on wood)had a single issue with the electric reel motors or alternator itself. They seem very sturdy. We just recently purchased 4 new JD fairway mowers; their most recent line. I honestly cant remember the model # right now. The rear basket bracket sucks but thats just me knit-picking at things.

I also have 5 2500E's in my fleet, never a issue with the reel motors or controller. Might want to double check but I believe JD gives a 5 yr warranty on electric reel motors and components. I have 9 of the new 7500A model fairway mowers, not the E Cuts, but the machine has been great so far! No major issues and I have 9 of them going!
