Has anyone used any of these products, and if so, are they easy to attach, how often do you use them? Are they worth the money? Thanks for any support.

I have both but have only used the Rapid Facer. Attaching and using is easy. I don't use it everyday maybe once every other week. Costs I don't know I bought mine used, so I can't speak about that. I don't use it on my greens mowers only on the Tee and fairway units, greens I use a flat file, but these units I normally have back on the grinder every third week to keep them sharp. I guess the investment might be worth it if you were getting a good price.

I have both of these devises. The rapid relief I find to be a pain in the ass, however I feel very strongly that all reels should have relief on the blades, so I suffer through and use what I have. Still waiting for a newer Foley with automatic relief grinding. It does a very good job, but requires a second setup and is time consuming. I only use my rapid facer on Tee and Fairway mowers when back lapping which as of today I haven't had to do. (knock on wood) I do grind bed knives to more aggressive angles than recommended and it serves me very well.

An angle air die grinder will do the job of facing bedknives with a little practice. Much easier, faster and cheaper that buying one of the fancy units. Turn your air pressure down so the die grinder turns fairly slowly. You can probably face a bedknive it the time it takes to attach the fancy unit to the reel.

The best disks we have found are the 3M red rolacs.. They last longer than the green rolacs. The 3" diameter rolacs are easier to use that the 2"diameter ones.

3m 3" rolac discs are 36 grit and can be found on Amazon or at Fastenal.
