I have a Toro 3250 that we mow collars and approaches with. After it has mow 2 collars and approaches, the reels slow down and then do not spin at all. If it sits for a while and cools down it will mow fine for a few holes and then the same thing happens. I have tried switching the mow solenoid coil and switching the mow relay with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When was the last time you change the hydraulic oil and filter. We had a similar problem and it was a clogged hydraulic filter and an o-ring in the back-lap block that needed to be replaced.

We are starting by changing the fluid and filter this morning as I was thinking that it could be a clogged filter. Thanks.

We are still having the problems with the reels stopping on this mower. So far we have changed the hydraulic fluid and filter, put seal kits in the mow solenoid, the other big solenoid ,back lap valve, switched the mow coil and mow relay. The reels will spin fine and not stop if it is back lap mode. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think I'd start with a case drain check on each hyd reel motor ( after the fluid has warmed up). If one is bad it can affect the other 2. It's a very simple/quick test.

Also for bad reel motors the one with the most blow-by will be hotter than the others, if you feel one that is hotter, then it is most likely the culprit. That's just a very fast field test. Then as Roland mentioned a cased drain check will tell you how bad it is. Sometimes a seal kit will work, but if it's an older unit you may have worn case and internal parts requiring a reel motor replacement.
