   GCSAA Members,
   
   I am pleased to share with you the selection of Richard Konzem as GCSAA's chief operating officer. Below is a link to the news release that will be shared with the members later today and the media following that notification. Richard comes to GCSAA after having served 30 years in various leadership positions, mostly on the intercollegiate athletics level. We were pleased to attract many excellent candidates in our search, but Richard's credentials and breadth of experience rose to the top. He is a person of great integrity, has a passion for the game and a deep respect for the golf course superintendent profession. Richard truly will be an asset to GCSAA. He begins Oct. 17.
