    David,

You should be able to delete your message by clicking on the "x" button to the right of the "edit" button in the top-right corner above your message. Please let us know if that doesn't work for you.

It appears that the x's are not permanent.

Hmmm . . . I'll need to consult with the IT group about that. Is the "edit" button available to you? If you click on it, there should also be a "delete post" checkbox at the top of the edit screen. When you have a chance, take a look and let us know whether these options are available to you. We know that other users have deleted posts, so you should be able to do this as well.

When going into edit there is no delete button.

    David,

I'm sorry I don't have an immediate answer to the problem. Using a test member login, I was able to post and delete a message using both options. Attached are a couple of screen shots that show the delete options that should be available on messages you have posted. Would you take a look and let us know how these match up with what you see?

Sharmion in looking at some of my other post.....sports talk for instance, no X shows on one of my post and further down on the same thread topic, I have an X next to the edit button. What gives?

    David,

I don't know exactly, but I did some quick research on the forum documentation and have an idea. I'd like to test it first, and then I hope to have the answer for you.

    David,

Here's the logic: You can delete your own message as long as no one has already posted a reply. If a reply has been posted, then you only have the edit option.

I've tested it on these forums, and it's consistent with the documentation.

This should be why you're seeing it in some places but not others. When you have a chance, take a look at your postings and let us know if you're seeing anything different than this.

    Thanks for asking the question!
