   Does anyone have budget numbers that factored maintained turf vs naturalized fescue areas? I am working on a presentation to sway the green committee to expand some naturalized areas; the budget number and long term savings to the club should convince them to do the right thing.    Just estimate the acreage you want to convert and turn that into mowing time. Then multiply that by how many times a week you would normally mow it.
   
   Subtract this acreage from what you would normally buy for rough fertilizer and you should have a pretty good number to start with.
   
   We added almost 40 acres of natural area and since we mow rough about 1.5 times a week, thats roughly 240 acres of less mowing a month
