I'm looking at getting a new close loop wash station. Our current one is a WaterMaze WaterStax. I was wanting to know what brand everyone else is using and how well it works for you. Our current one seems to be too small to get the job done....... Also would like to know what size of course (18, 27,36 holes) you have to compare with. I have 27 holes.
    Thanks,
    Monte Reed

They're all too small. I don't think any of them can handle the sand, grass clippings, etc. coming off your machines. They're designed for washing road dust off taxis, police cars, and school buses.

I disagree. I have a Carbtrol now and have had the ESD Waste 2 Water systems in the past. Both worked fantastic for our business. We don't blow first either, just was the clippings down the drain. The ESD system is chemically free as well, which is great for the environment.

I have been wrong before. It's been awhile, though.

    Monte:

Look at this system, simple, effective and less cost then the rest of the systems on the market.

    Good luck,

Have the ESD wast2water now...can't handle our volume (36 holes), poorly designed and installed wash station (not entirely their fault) Blow first, still have trouble with clippings. Requires hours of attention each week. Have yet to see one function properly. Can never go too big in my opinion.

Great post, I also need to replace our defunct high maintenance system and was going to ask the same question today. After the show a few years ago had pretty much decided on a Waste2Water system, in fact, have a rep coming out on Thursday for a site evaluation. Since it's been a few years and one of the original bidding companies is now out of business, my BOD is requiring three bids for the project.
    My questions are:
Andy, isn't Waste2Water also out of Ocala? Why did you change to Carbtrol?

Michael, is the high speed system available in the states?

Does anyone have experience with the BioRack wash center from EZ Environmental Solutions Corp?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Yes, and have become good friend with those guys over the years. Originally installed a Waste 2 Water system at another club I was at. When I got up here, the Carbtrol system was already in place. We are in the process of hopefully building another new maintenance facility for our south side operations and will also be looking at the Waste 2 Water system.

To be perfectly honest, the Waste 2 Water system I had in the past was great. Only downside was the screen they have that forces you to pick up clippings constantly. The Carbtrol system is different and allows anything that can go down the drain to do so. Downside to the Carbtrol system is the constant purchase of chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, ozonators, pumps, filter sand, tanks, carbon......but at the end of the day, they both work fine and do what they are intended to.

We had the three hose set-up on our Waste 2 Water for a 48 hole facility. Plenty of water to keep up at the end of a shift. We were strapped for space when we installed it, and probably could have gone larger on the collection pad to accommodate more pieces of equipment.

Sorry Monte, didn't intend to hi-jack your post. I am not familiar with Hydro Engineering wash systems. Although, I can tell you to stay away from Karcher systems, no bueno.

    Andy, thanks for the response.

I can't for the life of me think of the system they had at Farm Links, never saw it because it was damaged in the fire just before I got there but Mark said he loved it. I want to say the company mainly did systems for car washes. Maybe give Mark a call at Farm Links

....We are looking now too and I was wondering, for those of you who have experience with either system, what are the true maintenance costs associated with the Carbtrol vs. Waste2Water? Thanks for any input!

We spend about $1,500 a year on the Carbtrol, plus any pumps or float switches that go out. The ESD I had in the past was about $1,200 a year in microbes, plus any pumps or switches that go out. Both have motors that run constantly, so expect a significant electrical bill from both.
