string trimming ahead of RoundUp

    Opinions please......


    why go in and string trim an area and then spray RoundUp or other glyphosate (or any non-selective herbicide for that matter) directly behind the trimmers? I've seen landscapers do this and now my owner wants me to do it. This make no sense to me. Am I missing something? What will take the chemical up?

    I actually just did it to my yard a few hours ago. More so because the weeds were 2-3' tall and I didn't want to see them be that tall AND dead. Nor does my neighbor. If it wasn't for the height, I probably would have just sprayed over the top and skipped the weedeating.

    weedeat, scuffle hoe & paraquat

    Weedeat, spray with combo of Finale and any of the dna chemistries for some pre-emerge benefits. Do not spray directly behind the weed eater crew but with a day or two.

    I try to spray a week after we weedeat.
