   Orchard grass pressure seems to be getting worse within my bermudagrass fwy and rough. Has anyone had success with herbicides?

   I've watched your topic in hopes of learning something. There is no selective control of orchard grass that I know of. Some guys are spraying Roundup when bermuda is dormant for Poa and other weeds. Think that would work? Also, I remember seeing a paper where Tenacity had some activity on orchard grass. Again, bermuda would have to be dormant and you are off label. Tough problem. Orchard grass on 1/2" fairways? Didn't think it would grow that low. Good luck. Kenneth Ingram, UMD.

   Mostly in rough. The bermudagrass does not go dormant here on the island. It certainly seems to be getting worse year after year. Luckily we are 5 inches behind in rainfall so it seems to be drying out quick. I spoke with the weed scientist from VT at the show. Seems to be a unique problem. He had no answer. My old Clemson professor recommended high rates of revolver (seems to kiss it but not much control). Will try Katana next week. Thanks for the response. I will keep trying

   The only product we found that worked was MSMA. It worked with one app on most occasions.
