Has anyone had any success with controlling aquatic weeds without chemical applications? Mainly looking to control char and milfoil in the north-west. Thanks in advance for the help.

I would also be interested in any practices or information on the control of aquatic weeds. Three ponds and several creek banks to keep up with. They look great each spring after a controlled burn but its all down hill from there the rest of the year.

    Guys,
I know your looking for non chemical solutions but I have not had any success keeping our ponds/creeks weed free mechanically. Check out the new aquatic herbicide Clipper from Valent. Non-RU product with extremely short half-life. Looks promising.

I started using Devour from Precision two years ago. Expensive the first two years but results have been amazing. All pond weeds and algae has been reduced 75%. We had a silt/sludge, knee deep, right off the shore for years. We were treating the lakes every two week with chemicals and not getting anywhere. Now it is back to the original gravel bottom that you can see golf balls 5 yards off shore. Going to switch to the devour/algae control product this year (don't remember what it was called). Quick to apply by throwing packets from shore line. No worries at all in irrigation pond like I would have from other copper based products.
