    Have noticed a few of the "worms" crawling across greens in the am. If you look closely you can see there several; about a hundred or so, small "worms" incased in a slime and they move as one. Kind of leapfrog style over each other to propel themselves forward. I think they might be the larval stage of centipedes or the such just not sure. No damage has appeared but in 25 years I have never seen anything like this on the golf course. Any thoughts of suggestions are welcome.

    That is weird. Have no insight but from the picture your greens look very healthy!

    Larry thanks for the link with information to my mystery pest. I agree that this spring has been wetter than in the past, but I will have to re-evaluate the too thatch, and too high an OM on greens, maybe these gnats know more about my greens environment than I do. Thank you again for the link.

    I admit it, i googled space herpes. I loved that movie!! Brings back memories
