Just curious on what yall have been using to pre-emerge your greens for winter (the courses that do not overseed). I have never pre-emerged my greens, only post emerged them and was wanting to look into pre-emergents.

Last 2 years I have been applying Certainty and Revolver on my Champion. Sprayed Certainty @ 1.25 oz./acre and Revolver @ 16 fl. oz./acre. Came back 2 weeks later with Revolver @ 16 fl. oz./acre and then seeded collars/approaches 2 weeks after that. The difference was significant compared to prior years of doing nothing. No poa or volunteer rye till very late in the season and even then it was very few plants. We just picked out the few that came up. You could also see a distinct line in the approach of the treated and untreated areas.

A small pocket knife. We have eagle greens, tees and appraoches and I don't really trust herbicides on them. I bet we've picked 10 goose plants out this summer.

I can understand your distrust with herbicides on your greens but wanted to tell you that I have found my TifEagle greens can handle just about any herbicide I use on my roughs. I have sprayed the edges of my greens and collars with Sencor, MSMA and Three way and while they browned out they rebounded within 7 days. Leave the Sencor out and no browning at all.

I'm very cautious with herbicides on my TifEagle. The only thing I'll put on them is Revolver at 9oz/A in February for any poa that may make it in and celsius or monument through a pump up sprayer for the paspalum around the edges.

I never plan to put out a pre-emergent and like Tony, I may have picked a dozen goose plants with my pocket knife this summer. I have my cup cutter carry a pocket knife as well. He may have gotten another dozen...

We didn't overseed our TifDwarf this year on one course. We've never applied a pre-emergent, but did make an app of Revolver at 17.4oz/ac about 10 days ago for some Poa triv that has come back on the greens and Rye that popped up on the collar. We'll probably do another app or two between now and next spring. As for the summer, pocket knifes for the Goose is what we use. Ronstar right up to the edges.

On our 67 Greens of Tifeagle, Dwarf, and 328, We remain "Old School"and use Rubigan's dual herbicidal qualities in the Fall (expensive but effective, for us) split apps 2-4 weeks before overseeding with Poa Trivialis and rely on Illoxan to post any Goosegrass during the warm season.
