Anyone have any experience and or opinion on Simplot's PAR colorpack? I am told that it is supposed to increase the efficacy of herbicides but I have yet see those results. It is labeled as a pigment and there is no claim on the label as to any other advantages. It sure looks nice when you're done spraying but I'm not sure that it is anything more than just a relatively permanent dye.

We spray par on our tifeagle tees, greens and approaches during our winter months. Winter is high time for play, but not always the best time to grow grass as the the temps are cooler and the sunlight levels are low. We all know what the grass looks like after Signature is applied-this pigment does the same thing.
We sprayed our fairways right before our first frost and got great definition that lasted until we started to green up 5-7 days later.

Have never heard the claim of other benefits of PAR other than being a great looking green pigment.
