I have been using the Tee Jet air induction flat fan nozzle for several years now. I have been to a couple of regional seminars where people have been recommending the Tee Jet twin jet or air induction twin jet. Are any of you using these nozzles? Would you care to comment on them? I think I am getting good results with the nozzle I am using but I am always looking for something better and open to new methods/products. I like the drift control I get with the air induction flat fan. This is mostly on putting greens at 60-70 gallons per acre.

I use the AI twin jets and do think the coverage is better than the single but that is completely subjective on my part. They seem to have good drift resistance and the fact they spray out at 2 different angles they must give better overall coverage.
The only problem I can see is that with 2 half sized orifices as compared to what you are currently using they will be more sensitive to clogging. I have an inline self cleaning Arag filter and have never had a problem

I like the AI twin jets as well...great coverage and drift control.

Larry, which Arag filter do you have? I have been searching for a new in-line self cleaning filter like that and it sounds like yours works great. Thanks in advance.

There is a link to the unit I have. It's been on for over 8 years. I don't use the nozzle filters at all and have never had a clogged nozzle. You do need to clean it occasionally. Just make sure that you use the arrows in the direction of flow. A friend did not and apparently the results were not good. Highly recommended

Self cleaning strainers are great, but remember that they require 6-8 gpm of flow for the flushing action. This can make them unsuitable when using them on a sprayer with small diaphragm pumps.

We use the TeeJet AA126ML-F75 on our line of dedicated sprayers. They are on page 125 in the link below.

I have a Jake with a centrifugal so I can't speak to a diaphragm setup, but for the life of me, with all of the issues I read about diaphragm pumps. I really don't understand their popularity

Thanks for all the responses. I just got a new Deere sprayer also with a centrifugal pump, just not a fan of the diaphragm pumps.

We tried the air induction nozzles for awhile. But in the end we went back to the flat fan nozzles. I would encourage you to test whatever nozzles you want to use, on a dry asphalt/concrete surface. The spray pattern will give you your answer. The flat fans performed much better than the air induction nozzles for us.

Wally, you might just find that the twin AI overcomes that coverage issue that you are seeing

We tried those as well but did not give us the desired coverage.
