Once again Nematode counts are well beyond threshold and my Poa is dying. Are Superintendents seeing this more frequently in their greens? If you are fighting nematodes, What is your height of cut?
Without Nemacur is anyone having luck with other products? Nortica just got labeled in CT so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Had little success with the other voodoo on the market.

    Thanks for your help.
    Jon

Some states have a 24c Special Local Need Registration for Avid (a.i. abamectin) - don't know if CT does.

I watched as my greens got worse and worse over the two weeks after July 3rd. After treating for the usual suspects with no abatement of damage we settled on nematodes and a turf pathologist just confirmed it this past Thursday. We did Avid at label rate, Pa has a 24 c label for 57 oz/M. We did in fact see improvement afterwards. But watch the recommendation for watering it in. The label only calls for ONE TENTH of an inch of irrigation afterwards. If you have thatchy greens this is not nearly enough.

I was wondering why I all of a sudden had a nematode problem this year. I know I did not spray any carbaryl on the greens like I usually do. We know what it does to earthworms, perhaps it has some unrecognized effect on nematodes too.
