The label states that you should not mow the day before or the day after. I was wondering what affects I would have if I sprayed after it was mowed on the same day. Bermuda rough, spraying for clover.

    Thanks,

The reason you want to wait after mowing is that you will get more leaf surface for the herbicide to stick to and you wait a day so it has time to take it in. I generally find a little bruising after spraying so I try to cut a few days or more before and then waint until the following week when possible.

Do you think it will hurt the Bermuda?

On blue/rye we have followed the mowers around without at problem or loss of control.

No damage to the bermuda........its the target weed they are suggesting you refrain from mowing prior to and after the spray app. Thirty five years of 2 4-D on bermuda and you have to nuke it to really see any damage.

I have to spray after the mower or it won't get done. I get control until mid fall.

i think that Confront by Dow would be a better choice for clover, and spraying after mowing should be no problem. Confront doesn't work as fast as 2,4,D but does a much better job on clover.
    Good luck Jeff Brouse
