Sean- Fusilade, now Fusilade II is the only product I know of. The label is very helpful as to weeds controlled and tolerant ornamentals. There are generics, I think Gordons calls it Ornamec. As you know, just like crabgrass in turf preemerge is easier. Preemerge options are extensive with a bunch of combination products. There are a couple of new single ai products, Broadstar is one, a Valent product I think. A couple of these actually get Yellow Nutsedge preemerge. The czar here in the mid-atlantic is Jeff Derr at Va.Tech. You might google around for some of his publications. Here at UMD our grounds staff has edge up beds and raked up old mulch and are applying preemergent granular (Snapshot) right now, then new mulch. Good luck. Kenneth Ingram, UMD.

I've used "Ornamec" to take bermuda out of Vinca with good results. Snapshot Granular "Oryzalin" is great also. I prefer to clean out the beds and spray Oryzalin over the top and water in, about 1wk after new plants have settled into their new home.
