If anyone has or knows anyone who has any Cala Chlor, I would be very interested in it. You may have to look very deep into your chemical room. Hasn't been available for a very long time.

Mercurous Chloride. If you are old enough to remember this stuff then you are old enough to know how hot it is. It was hot even in Nov / Dec. You should be looking for PMAS if you need to spray in summer. Either way you are playing with fire. Anthracnose?? Kenneth Ingram, UMD.

Thanks for the reply, yes I am old enough and have sprayed pounds of the stuff. Safe for use in summer in low doses and cloudy days. Additionally, I am looking into PMAS as an alternative. We just ran out of a supply of Cala Chlor this past week. I know there is some lurking in some pesticide building that the young guys don't know what it is or affraid to use it. Yes, Anthracnose is the target!!!

certainly you could try some of the less toxic options out there? just because we can use something doesn't mean we should.

You are allowed to spray that? Banned up here in Canada many years ago. I recall about 1996 last sales, used up and gone by 1997.

I think they lost it well before we did Dave, but there is still some kicking around. I wish I had a room full. You never heard about moss until it went off the market.
As far as safety goes, we are likely a lot better off having it spread in a controlled manner on greens than having it dealt with by dumping it in a waste bin, or handing it off to the municipal guys who deal with hazardous wastes ie paint cans and empty Raid containers.

    Mercury is forever
