I was looking at a couple of different brands and was wonder if anyone had any thoughts or experience which worked better for you?

    Fimco
    and Valley Manufacturing

Both I can obtain locally. Any other brands to be on the look out for?

    Thanks!

I use Fimco. Been able to get replacement pumps from Tractor Supply.

We don't have Tractor Supply down in this part of the state. We do have an Orschein Farm and Home. Just got back from picking up one for $69.99. Pump only puts out 1 gpm, they also had replacement pumps. Same 1 gpm was $49, a 2.1 pom 60 psi which is on our old pump was $69, and the larger 3.8 gpm was another 15 dollars more. Might search around for a replacement or a rebuild kit for our old tank depending on how bad we need to repair it and how well the new tank performs.

Is it just me or are the pumps on these tanks failing more often than in years before? I have bought mine at TSC for years and over the last few years i dont even get a full season out of them before the pump burns up. Its just about the same price for the pump as it is to replace the whole thing! Also I bought a coiled hose about 10 years ago for my spot sprayer and have not been able to find another one lately. They are easier to walk around with and store in cart. Any ideas?

I think the pumps on my tanks are Sureflo's. I have not burned one up in about 4 years.

    Steve,

How is the pressure with that bomb proof sprayer. The Fimco sprayer I have does 3.8 gpm at 45 psi, with at hi flow pump. But my sprayer is not bomb proof, always having to fix something on it.

    Thanks

Northern Tool spot spray tanks last at least 5 years or more. I have been using them for years. If you go cheap on the tanks its like the old saying you get what you pay for.
