The Horton Grand Hotel, anybody able to comment on it? I noticed it didn't have wi-fi, or free wi-fi, but unless I find something under the tree at Christmas, might not matter. Sounds neat. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks! Mel

    Mel,

I'm staying at the Ramada St. James Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter. Booked the room for 4 nights along with a round trip flight for just over $750 through Expedia. Lots of other choices out there besides the $200/night hotels GCSAA is booking through.

    Andy,

Sounds like a good deal, question would be, you are now locked in? I will sign up for a GCSAA hotel, because I know I can cancel with no penalty if I don't get approval from my employer. Sometimes they take a while to get back to us.

Best bet is find out as soon as possible, then shop around. I got approval early so I was able to book early. I hope you can make it and we'll see you there!

I know I'm very late to post on this topic, but my wife and I stayed at the Grand Horton - it was very very nice.......the next time GIS is in San Diego, I HIGHLY recommend staying there.
