As the summer draws to an end and revenues start decreasing little by little heading into winter, I am faced with the task of coming up with ideas to increase revenue in the winter at least to the point that we are offsetting our operating costs. I am at a course in northern NC so the winters can really go either way as far as mild or blizzard-esque so outdoor activities are greatly dependent on what kind of winter we have. What are some ideas you guys are coming up with for some non-golf activities that a golf course clubhouse can host in the winter. Aside from having the bar open and showing football games etc.

Depending on what kind of room you have shuffleboard or dartball leagues may bring some people in for fun. You could have senior leagues during the day and adult leagues in the evening.

We tried an ice melt drive one winter. We are a private club in a gated community and sold bags of Ice Melt to the residents. They were able to charge their members accounts and we set up times for them to pick their bags up at our recreation center. I was hoping we would have sold more, but they liked the convience and we still proffited.
