I got this thrown at me this morning by another Department head for the Park District I work for....Skills Matrix for hiring employees.

Does anyone do this, and would you be willing to give some in site to this.

    Thanks in advance.

Was there supposed to be something attached to it?

I was hoping somebody had done this already.

This sounds like something that has worked its way down from a bureaucracy.
You must work for a municipality. I would say go ahead and hire at least two people to help you put this together.
Make sure to include a couple trips to Vegas.
This needs to be done right...

They are probably looking for the limiting factors that appear after most municipal job announcements like: must be a high school graduate, be able to answer questions asked in English, be legal to work in the US, pass a drug test, be able to pick up 50#, have a driver's license, stuff your previous contributors may not be able answer in the affirmative.

I have done these before and it basically works out that you list all the jobs on the course and have a system of very good, good, fair.. or something similar as a scale for the employees skill level and then you would know what equipment they were good on or if they needed training. Send me your email and I'll mail you a sample. Otherwise just google Skills Matrix and all kinds of samples will come up for your choosing. Hope this helps ?
