Does anyone have a piece of the ownership of their course? If so, did you buy in or is it a sweat equity sort of thing?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

you may be waiting a long time for a "yes" response on this one. I'll be shocked if you get more than one or two over the next couple weeks.

I had a somewhat similar situation a number of years ago. A member at the course I was working at then was planning to build his own 9 hole executive style course and wanted my assistance in designing and building the greens and installing the irrigation system. I also provided technical assistance to them during the grow in and the hiring of a superintendent. He was selling Class B equity shares in the new course for $10,000 each as a means of raising construction capital. He paid me a combination of cash plus one share for the work that I did for him. One of the other small perks that went with the share was full membership at the golf course as long as you are a shareholder. I did get to golf there a few times before I moved away from the area. I also got the added benefit of having that experience help me out a couple of years later when I was hired to be the grow in super at a new course in a neighbouring community. I still have that share even though I haven't lived in that area for the last 20 years.
