Last 27 hole course I was at had 11 guys total, including me, assistant and mechanic. We were grossly understaffed and had to make the decision daily as to what not to mow. I estimated any given Monday, Wednesday or Friday we needed a minimum of 15 people just to set the course up for play. Off days minimum was 9. None of this counted if we had to spray, repair a leak, etc...my mechanic often spent more time on the course than in the shop. I really wished I had 18 crew members, assistant, mechanic and myself for 21 total employees. Never happened and probably never will at that course.

We have 5 full-time year round (Supt, Asst, Mech, Foreman, Spray Tech)
We have about 10-12 40hr/week that start in March or April and go until we close course (Thanksgiving or first week December)
We then bring on a college seasonal 40 hr/wk(May - Aug).

We shoot for about 25-30 in peak season (including our full time staff)

Accountants to tally the tabs and do the taxes.

PS..Check your bag of carrots and lets get cracking (pistachios)..it is also nice to see more trucks in the parking lot than Ferraris!

And Yes Buck was a member but we still have Mel!

17 total employees w/Supt, no asst, full time mechanic, CH & restroom attendant. 31 poa/bent greens 10 miles east of Los Angeles. 225 total acres, 8A DR, 90 golf cart fleet

In my opinion under staffed w/minimum equipment & manageable budget. Very difficult to perform projects w/o sacrificing the daily requirements of the GC
