    Hi all,

Just wondering if portfolios are becoming more common place when applying for superintendent positions?

If so what information is being put into these portfolios?

    Thanks!

    Mel,

I use a PowerPoint presentation to show my portfolio in front of a search committee. Works really well. I place plenty of photos in the presentation. Course project work is the main points. I also walk the course I am interviewing with, take pictures of what I can improve and include these. It will set you apart from everyone else. Most guys interviewing don't seem to take the time to do this. Hope this helps.

Steve, nowhere, but they are reposting the Rivercut position again, and it is set up a pay step higher then our other 2 golf courses. Happy with what we are getting done here at Horton, but just letting them know I would move to our other course if they needed me to (and would get that raise earlier). They are supposed to bump the other 2 courses up to the same pay grade but it might still be a year before that happens.

Thanks Jeff for the ideas, since it is the same employer, some of those ideas and projects they do know about, but we don't always get pictures to them in the normal course of our daily work. I do have some pictures from the other course and have been spending time down there as well, so I have ideas of what needs to be done.

    Thanks!

Cover letter gets the door open, Resume gets the interview, face time gets the job, Portfolio electronic could be sent just before the interview just remember that PDF can be read by most and others forms maybe not. Good Luck.
