I am looking at purchasing a couple of electric hose reels for hand watering greens with. I was wondering what brands/companies others are using. I am familiar with the Reelcraft brand but have never used them. Also do you have yours mounted to the cart or are you using a trailer to transport the reel.
    Thanks for your help.

We have two Reelcraft hand crank reels and they've been pretty good for us. They hold up to 150' of 3/4" hose or 100' of 1" I believe. Only issue we've had is the collar that connects the reel body to the shaft in the middle has broken, but it's a cheap and easy fix. We were short on carts so we mounted each one to a modified pallet to be placed in and out of the cart each day as needed. We're planning to hard mount one to a bed now that we're changing from bent to bermuda greens and we refurbished some old carts.

We have ReelCrafts as well and both hold 150 feet of 3/4 inch hose. I debated on getting one electric vs. two hand crank versions because of the cost, glad we settled on the latter. We have them mounted to the bed of carryalls, but are easy to take out if need be (4 bolts).

In the past we've used a trailer similar to this with pretty good results. https://www.reelcraft.com/pdfs/manuals/1146-403.pdf

I found a old 100 foot hose reel, welded it to and old walk mower trailer. Works great, my irrigation tech loves it. Even named it, Jenny 1! (Forest Gump Reference) Working on Jenny 2 now.
