We are looking to add another full time year round employee too our staff. We currently have four year round employees. Myself (superintendent), assistant superintendent, mechanic, and irrigation tech. We are a northern course. Just curious how many year round employees you have on your staff? Thanks for the input.

Adding staff instead of reducing. That's a switch. Your course must be doing well. Good for you.

    In southern Missouri,

We have 3 FTE's on the golf course including me, a part time mechanic and a full time mechanic we share with our other two courses.

One of our other courses will keep 4 FTE's and a contract mechanic/operator, the second will have 6 FTE's including the superintendent with one of the FTE's working as a part-time mechanic and they also have a contract landscape person 30 hours a week.

When we had logging and projects to do we used to keep 10 , then we went to 8 saying the best benefit we could offer was full time work. We had 4 the year I left and they went to three last year and I would not be surprised if they went to two this year with maybe a part time helper weather permitting.

Just the Superintendent (myself) 18 hole course in the process of adding building a par 3 course. Southeast South Dakota. Going on 15 years and never had a year round employee other than myself.

My Cousin Paddy Holohan in Ireland said it best. "I got 11 guys! 6 employees and Me, that equals 11"
