I have not yet begun to look but I thought I would start right here. Does anyone have or know of a good article and/or video that helps to explain to members why we want to limit cart traffic during the winter?
I'm tired of writing the same news letter every year, hoping I can find something that helps validate what I have been telling them for years.

Anything will be of help, even if it is something you have written on a blog (if you do not mind me sharing it with my membership)
    Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to revive this topic as it is something I'm working on myself. I have poured over the TGIF and other google searches to dig up some scholarly evidence to present to my members as to why we are staying off the fairways in the winter. We are a high clay content course and nothing has been done to relieve fairway/rough compaction in 50 years, so needless to say just starting an aerification program without some cooperation from the golfers in the winter will be an uphill fight.

http://gsrpdf.lib.msu.edu/ticpdf.py?fil ... 1-9-15.pdf is one I found. There are a number of others mentions about courses discussing winter cart rules which could give some additional ideas on what and how to discuss. Good luck.
