On November 2, The Heart of America GCSA (HAGCSA) held its annual meeting. Preceding the annual meeting was lunch catered by Joe's BBQ of Kansas City. Top five BBQs I've ever had!

The meeting was presided over by Executive Director Sandy Queen, CGCS. The positions to fill this year included President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, Two Directors (Superintendent), and Director (Assistant Superintendent).

• Vice-President - Spencer Roberts, CGCS - Shadow Glen Golf Club
• Secretary/Treasurer - Matt Gourlay, CGCS, MG, AGS - Colbert Hills Country Club
• Superintendent Director - Josh Linn - Swope Memorial Golf Course
• Superintendent Director - Darin Pearson - Eagle Bend Golf Course
• Assistant Superintendent Director - Aaron Stansbury - Falcon Lakes Golf Course

The HAGCSA also handed out its 2022 awards:

• Brian Breedlove Equipment Manager of the Year - Mark Williams
• Assistant Superintendent of the Year - Aaron Stansbury
• Superintendent of the Year - Jeff White, CGCS
• Chester Mendenhall Award - Matt Gourlay, CGCS, MG, AGS
